Online Submission Process

A key priority of Curriculum for Excellence is to improve the life chances for all of Scotland’s children and young people, through improving attainment and raising ambition. Fundamental to this is encouraging and nurturing creativity, to improve the self-esteem, motivation and achievement of our learners.

The Conference Secretariat is now open for abstracts for proposed participation that are aligned with the conference theme.

It is expected that the educational topics and issues covered in the submission link with the overarching theme of the conference - Creative Learning...Creative Thinking

Audience

The call for participation in SLF 2012 will go out to practitioners from all sectors across Scotland and to international delegates. SLF 2012 hopes to attract a larger audience from the further education, youth work and community learning and development sectors than in previous years.

Call for Abstracts

Abstracts of 200 words for proposed sessions on the above theme should be completed online in the pages that follow.

Deadline for submission of abstracts: Friday 30 March 2012

Terms and conditions:

  • Limited conference slots are available in the programme
  • Submissions of abstracts does not guarantee a place in the conference programme
  • Submissions received after the closing date of Friday 30 March 2012 will not be considered for inclusion in the conference programme
  • Abstracts will be shortlisted for consideration by the Conference Secretariat by Monday 23 April 2012
  • Approved abstracts will be invited to present at the conference by Friday 27 April 2012
  • The deadline for submission of full seminar details for the conference is Friday 4 May 2012
  • LTS will notify unsuccessful submissions by Friday 4 May 2012
